Parent Engagement Policy
Parent Family Engagement Policy 2025-2026
Grady A. Brown Elementary School is committed to building strong partnerships with families to ensure student success. Our goal is to establish a collaborative school-home relationship that fosters academic achievement and a positive learning environment.
Parent Involvement in Developing the Policy
A team consisting of the School Improvement Team and parent representatives will meet to develop and review the Parent and Family Engagement Policy. This group may include additional staff or community members as needed. All stakeholders will be invited to share input to ensure the policy reflects the needs, priorities, and voices of our school community.
Annual Meeting for Parents
An annual Title I Night will be held for all families to receive detailed information about Title I guidelines, program requirements, and any updates or changes for the year. During this event, families will also receive curriculum information and a copy of the current Parent and Family Engagement Policy. Parents will be invited to review the policy, offer feedback, and participate in discussions to revise it as needed. In addition, the School–Parent Compact will be shared and reviewed with families to ensure shared understanding of roles and responsibilities in supporting student success. The Title I Compact will also be reviewed.
School-Parent Compact
As per Title I regulations, Grady A. Brown Elementary School will collaborate with parents to develop a school-parent compact. This compact will outline the shared responsibilities between parents, school staff, and students to promote academic success. The compact will include a checklist of expectations for teachers, parents, and students in supporting student achievement. Parents will receive the compact at the beginning of the school year to ensure clarity on the roles each party plays in fostering student success.
